ELA B10:  We will finish marking the questions for "The Metaphor" tomorrow.  I still don't have all of your poetry handed in yet.  I am planning to have you read these in class this week.  I am missing some of your reading journal entries as well!

ELA B30:  Please complete your questions for Chapter 3 and 4 of Animal Farm for tomorrow.  We will continue with Chapter 5 tomorrow.

ELA B10:  Complete your language study sheet and your reading journal for Monday.  We will also be marking your questions for "The Metaphor" on Monday, so please complete these.  Remember that all homework is put in the folder in my room so please gather it up!  If you have been away, you still must collect your homework.

ELA B30:  No homework today but not everyone is completing their homework in class.  If you are not going to use your class time to do your work, be prepared to take it home!

ELA B10:  We finished reading the short story, "The Metaphor" today and we took down some questions.  These are due on Monday.  Tomorrow will be Language Study and Reading Workshop instead of Monday.  I am away tomorrow morning so Mrs. Lutz will lead you through Language study.

ELA B30:  Please have your questions for Chapter Two of Animal Farm done for tomorrow.  We will be correcting these tomorrow. 

ELA B10:  We corrected the questions for "Flashing Spikes" today and read to the bottom of page 135 of "The Metaphor".  I asked the class to develop a list of important people in their lives - family, friends, pets - and come up with a metaphor for each.  We will continue reading the rest of the story tomorrow in class.

ELA B30:  We wrote our unit exam today and will continue with Chapter 2 of Animal Farm tomorrow.

ELA B10:  Your three poems are due tomorrow.  Please be sure that you have each of them peer edited and that they are typed in proper writing workshop format.  You also need to complete your questions for the short story, "Flashing Spikes" for tomorrow. 

ELA B30:  Study well for your unit exam tomorrow!  You also need to complete your journal entry for tomorrow as well.  Be ready to start class on time.

ELA B10:  Have your questions for "On the Sidewalk Bleeding" done for Tuesday.  The deadline for your three poems is Wednesday, April 25.  Don't forget to do an edit sheet for each poem and to complete your writing folder. 

ELA B30:  Reminder about your language study quiz tomorrow and your unit test on Wednesday.  We will continue with Animal Farm on Thursday. 

ELA B10: Study for your language study quiz tomorrow! Reading workshop journal needs to be completed for Monday as well. We will continue with some questions for the story, "On the Sidewalk Bleeding" on Monday. Poems are due on Wednesday!

ELA B30: Remember to have your speeches edited for Friday and that you have a language study quiz on Tuesday and a unit test on Wednesday!

ELA B10: Keep working on your three poems for next Wednesday, April 25. Please don't forget that you have a language study quiz on Friday. Study your 10 Common Punctuation Rules and the worksheets we did in class. Be sure that you know how to punctuate quotations correctly, when to underline or use quotation marks and when to use apostrophes.

ELA B30: We read to the end of Chapter one in Animal Farm today. Have the vocabulary and the questions for this chapter done for Friday. We will be correcting these on Friday. Also, have your revisions for your valedictorian speech done for Friday before we read these out loud to the class.

ELA B10: Your three chosen poems will be due next Wednesday, April 25. Please remember to get these peer edited and typed. Please include a title for your poems and your name below. Language study quiz will be this Friday on Common Punctuation Errors.

ELA B30: Please edit and revise your valedictory speech for this Friday when you will be presenting these to the class. Also, remember that you will be having a language study quiz on Quotations, Apostrophes, Possessives and Underlining next Tuesday, April 24. You will also be having a unit exam on all of your short stories, poems and essays next Wednesday, April 25. A review for this exam will be given to the class tomorrow.

ELA B10: We did the questions for the short story, "The Father" today. These are due on Wednesday when we will correct them together in class - could be a homework check! Your Found Poems are due on Wednesday as well. You will have time during Wednesday's class to type these but we will also be finishing up some other things as well. Tomorrow is Language Study and Reading workshop day so be sure to have a book ready for class!
